fast rewind
as uncertainty of the future dooms.
Insecurities in shadows
trapping
potential struggling to escape,
fearful of so much at stake.
Despite the cyclone’s roar inside,
his voice is clear; he says
You’ll do fine.

time.

I love the way the words cascade down in a rush. It's hard to find that in poetry, and even harder to pull of.
